About

Mason Bonar was born in Houston, Texas. He is a first-generation American and the youngest of two children, born of a French father and a Mexican mother, who both came from strong artistic backgrounds, influencing Mason's natural talents at a young age. In his early years, Bonar discovered a natural penchant for building things. In his teen years, Bonar learned the arts drawing and woodworking, which, when blended with his precocious engineering skills, inspired significant early designs that won him attention from Optimum Design Magazine, who called him "America's next top young industrial designer to watch out for."

Bonar decided to perfect his craft at the University of Houston where he chose to study Industrial Design under Adam Wells and Eunsook Kwon, both with strong design backgrounds and graduating from some of the top design schools in the world. It is there that he would come to develop his trademark style of sophistication and simplicity. Not long after, he began to emerge through the design field, working for leading product development companies, eventually moving on to develop several groundbreaking designs, focusing particularly on functionality and aesthetics with a user-centric mindset.

With his works garnering much attention from various blog websites, Bonar, an artist at heart and a business person in mind, is persistent in seeking out new design experiences. He currently resides in Houston where he enjoys soccer, golf, sushi and crystal figurine collecting.
